Christy Lee Hughes brings vulnerability and authenticity to all of her characters. 

 

She helped break gender barriers when she was cast as a juror in the production of 12 Angry Men, changing the title to 12 Angry Jurors.

Christy was cast in the lead role of Jennifer Lawrence in the world premiere of the original play, 

I'm Jennifer Mother Fcking Lawrence, 

at the McCadden Theatre. 

   She was cast opposite Melissa Leo in the Sundance drama Predisposed, and in a leading role in a comedy pilot directed by Nora Dunn. Christy was a writer on the CBS Comedy Showcase.

   Christy adapted, produced and directed two short films, Guardian and Asking For It. 

 Guardian had a world premiere at the Lighthouse International Film Festival. 

The world premiere of Asking For It was at the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. 

​

 Both films are on the festival circuit as Official Selections at over 50 International Film Festivals, earning several Best Actress and Best Comedy Awards.
